A Canção Ganhadora do Oscar 2015 Levou A Plateia Às Lágrimas

O filme Selma só foi indicado a um dos grandes prêmios da grande noite do cinema, melhor filme, mas não ganhou. Mas a apresentação de John Legend e Common da canção original do filme, “Glory”, foi um dos melhores momentos da noite.

“Glory”, a canção ganhadora do Oscar de Melhor Canção Original, composta por John Stephens e Lonnie Lynn—mais conhecidos como John Legend e Common!—para o filme Selma, levou o público repleto de celébis às lágrimas. Evidentemente, muitos que assistiam a cerimônia também se emocionaram bastante.

Antes da grande festa, organização do Oscar foi acusada de perpetuar a falta de diversidade étnica e de ter esnobado o filme aclamado pela crítica, sua diretora Ava DuVernay, e seu ator principal, David Oyelowo. No domingo, John Legend e Common fizeram uma apresentação que pode ser considerada como a redenção do filme Selma.

Momentos como a apresentação de John Legend e Commom na noite de ontem, salvaram uma cerimônia que pode ser— tradicionalmente—entendiante. Bem, agora não se pode falar do Oscar 2015 sem falar na Glória do filme Selma.
